UNITED METHODIST WOMEN: Organized unit of UMWomen shall be a community of women whose
purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a
creative supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of missions through participation in global

UNITED METHODIST WOMEN GROUPS
New Hope Circle: Meets the 4th Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in homes of members for prayer, program,
devotions, missions, and fellowship. Cindy Gebhard, 776-8535
Elizabeth Circle: Meets the 4th Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Organize mission work,
programs, and have a social hour each month. Come join our group. Adele Shay, 776-5282; Carol

Faith Circle: For any woman who wants to share and fellowship with other Christian women. We
meet the 1st Sunday at 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Classroom. Darene Webb, 776-1362
Ladies Wednesday Morning Study Group: A part of the United Methodist Women, this group meets
each Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Classroom for Bible Study, Prayer and
Fellowship, generally following the school calendar. The group is for all age women who seek a
supportive fellowship group in which to study scripture, topics of interest, and share prayer concerns.

Helping Hands: They Provide assistance during times of illness and bereavement for our church
families. UMWomen and many others respond when called. Chairman, Carol Nutter, 776-7063.
Encounters: Lunch the 1st Monday each month. We offer a few hours of Respite care and
fellowship time for singles that enjoy a free meal, crafts, movies, and sharing.
Prayer Shawl Ministry: Share your knitting and crocheting skills that make a difference. Shawls are
blessed by the Pastor and prayer over by the prayer group when they are given to persons who need a
little extra love. Meets the 1st Wednesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. Bring your yarn and needles.
Beginners welcome.
